Nikita Hokianga

Nikita Hokianga is an undergraduate student at the University of Auckland, of mixed Māori heritage. She is passionate about sharing Māori culture with international students and believes that understanding New Zealand's history is crucial for anyone wishing to live and work in the country. Hokianga supports making the course on New Zealand history and indigenous knowledge compulsory, arguing that it is essential for both local and international students to gain a deeper understanding of the nation they are studying in.
