Nikita Tarenovs
Nikita Tarenovs was a Latvian volunteer soldier who fought in Ukraine against Russian aggression. Born in Riga, he had a background in martial arts and was studying medicine before joining the Latvian armed forces. Tarenovs had been supporting Ukraine since 2017 and actively fought in various regions, including Kharkiv and Kherson, since 2022. He was a member of the 3rd Assault Brigade's reconnaissance and sabotage unit named Hatred. Tarenovs was reported to have died in Ukraine, marking him as the third Latvian volunteer soldier to lose his life since the onset of the conflict, although official confirmation from Ukrainian authorities was pending.
