Nikita Zolotaryov

Nikita Zolotaryov is a Belarusian political prisoner who was arrested at the age of 16 shortly after the controversial 2020 presidential elections. He was sentenced to five years in a penal colony, facing harsh treatment and additional charges while imprisoned. In 2026, he was among a group of political prisoners pardoned by the Belarusian authorities and relocated to Lithuania. Since his release, Nikita has been adapting to life outside prison while expressing concern for his father, Mikhail Lapunov, who remains incarcerated for advocating for his son.
