Nina Childress

Nina Childress is a Franco-American painter known for her vibrant and socially conscious artwork. As a prominent figure in the contemporary art scene, she has often integrated feminist themes into her work. Recently, she made headlines for her historic induction into the Académie des beaux-arts, where she, alongside fellow artist Tania Mouraud, became one of the first women to be elected to the painting section since the institution's founding in 1816. In preparation for the ceremony, she designed her own green robe, emphasizing her commitment to both personal expression and social messages.
