Nirmal Nimsdai Purja

Nirmal Nimsdai Purja, a Nepalese-British mountaineer, gained international fame for his remarkable achievement of climbing all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks in just over six months, a feat documented in the popular Netflix film '14 Peaks: Nothing Is Impossible.' Tragically, he passed away in an avalanche while leading an expedition on Broad Peak in Pakistan on July 30, 2023, a loss that has deeply affected the climbing community.
