Niu Baohong

Niu Baohong, also known by his pen name 'Niu Er Ge', is a truck driver from Daanpo Village in the mountainous region of Jiaozuo, Henan Province, China. With over 30 years of experience driving freight trucks, he has cultivated a passion for literature that began in childhood, inspired by stories and novels he encountered along the way. Despite a life of economic hardship, Niu turned to collecting and reading second-hand books, which fueled his writing aspirations. He has published poetry and essays online, sharing the stories of fellow truck drivers and their often-overlooked contributions to society. His first non-fiction work, 'Truck Driver Niu Er Ge', is set to be released in 2024, chronicling his extensive travels and experiences across China.
