Nixiwaka Yawanawa

Nixiwaka Yawanawa is an Indigenous leader and activist from the Yawanawa tribe in Brazil, recognized for his efforts in promoting the sustainable use of the Amazon rainforest and advocating for Indigenous rights. He is a key figure in the Terra Preta project showcased at the 19th Venice Architecture Biennale, which aims to integrate Indigenous knowledge with scientific research for sustainable housing solutions.
