Noaga Julien Sawadogo

Noaga Julien Sawadogo, at the remarkable age of 100, has been appointed as the Tengsoba (chief of land) in Kongoussi, a position that had been vacant for 37 years. He belongs to the prominent Sawadogo family of the Poctenga, Gouroungo, and Bugyiri neighborhoods in Kongoussi. His official inauguration on April 5, 2025, was conducted by the supreme chief of the Nionnionsé of Sanrgo, signifying a restoration of traditional leadership in the region after decades of interim governance.
