Noel Conroy

Noel Conroy is a former Garda assistant commissioner who played a significant role in Irish policing, particularly in the areas of crime and security. He later served as Garda Commissioner from 2003 to 2007. In 1996, he authored a letter detailing the leadership structure of the IRA, identifying Gerry Kelly as a key figure, which has resurfaced in recent discussions regarding the handling of historical records related to the Troubles.
