Nohar Shahar

Nohar Shahar is an Israeli archaeologist known for his work with the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA). He gained recognition for his role in the recent discovery of a Roman sarcophagus in Caesarea that features a drinking scene between the gods Dionysus and Hercules. This unique find, the first of its kind in Israel, provides insights into ancient Roman beliefs about death and the afterlife.
