Norton Dodge
Norton Dodge (1927–2011) was an American economist and art collector renowned for amassing one of the largest collections of Soviet nonconformist art outside the former USSR. Beginning in the 1950s, he focused on acquiring works that defied the Soviet artistic canon, ultimately donating his vast collection to the Zimmerli Art Museum in New Jersey in 1991. His efforts significantly contributed to the recognition and preservation of artists who operated outside the confines of state-sanctioned art.
