As the eldest son of Farhat Hached, a pivotal figure in the Tunisian national movement, Nourddine dedicated his life to public service, holding various significant positions including governor of Mahdia, Minister of Labor, and ambassador to several countries including Belgium, Algeria, Japan, and Australia. He also served as a representative to the European Union and the United Nations in Geneva, and was the Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab League. Hached passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of political and diplomatic achievements that greatly influenced Tunisia's modern history.
