Numa Pompilius

Numa Pompilius is recognized as the second king of Rome, succeeding Romulus. He is often credited with establishing many of Rome's religious and legal institutions, as well as adding January and February to the Roman calendar. His reign is characterized by a focus on peace and piety, in contrast to the martial legacy of his predecessor.
