Nurlan Abdrakhim
Nurlan Abdrakhim has recently been appointed as the Deputy Akim of Almaty, where he will oversee health care, employment, and social programs. Prior to this role, he served as the First Deputy Akim of Almaty Region since April 2023. A graduate of Kainar University and the National School of Public Policy at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan, Abdrakhim holds a Master's degree in social sciences with a focus on political science. His career began in 2001 at Astanaenergoservice and includes significant positions in the Ministry of Justice, as well as roles in the Presidential Administration. He has been recognized with the Order of Kurmet and various anniversary medals for his contributions.
