Obeid Laiser

Obeid Laiser is the managing director of Absa Bank Tanzania, known for his commitment to supporting development projects in Zanzibar. Recently, he met with Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi to discuss collaboration between local financial institutions and the government in financing and implementing strategic economic and social initiatives. Under his leadership, Absa Bank Tanzania has expanded its services, managing deposits exceeding Sh136 billion and providing over Sh64 billion in financing to various sectors, including tourism and healthcare, thereby contributing to the region's development and social well-being.
