Octav Botnar

Octav Botnar was a Romanian-born entrepreneur and philanthropist who gained wealth as the general importer of Nissan cars in the UK during the 1970s and 1980s. He established the Botnar Foundation, which has a significant endowment that funds medical research, including the recently launched Botnar Institute of Immune Engineering in Basel, aimed at developing affordable treatments for immunological diseases in children and adolescents.
