Octavian Stroici, a 66-year-old Romanian construction worker from Suceava, was recently rescued after being trapped for nearly 10 hours under the rubble of Torre dei Conti in Rome, which collapsed during restoration work. Described by colleagues as serious, hardworking, and discreet, Stroici had moved to Italy years ago with his family and settled in Monterotondo. His wife remained at the scene of the accident, anxiously awaiting news of his condition as rescuers worked to extricate him from the debris. Despite his injuries, Stroici managed to show signs of life while trapped, leading rescuers to confirm his survival.
