Ofek Angel, a 23-year-old from Bat Yam, has gained notoriety for orchestrating a sophisticated online fraud scheme that targeted unsuspecting victims through platforms like Yad2 and Facebook Marketplace, resulting in losses estimated at around one million shekels. He cleverly used fake identities and sent couriers to collect expensive items, leaving victims with counterfeit bank transfer notifications. After his arrest, police discovered a significant amount of cash and a variety of stolen electronics in his possession.
