Olaf Karsten Lies

Olaf Karsten Lies is a German politician and member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has served in various capacities, including as the Minister for Economic Affairs and the Minister for the Environment in Lower Saxony. Born and raised by a single mother, Lies pursued a career in engineering, later transitioning into politics. He became the chairman of the SPD in Lower Saxony and was known for his efforts in promoting sustainable agriculture through the 'Niedersächsischen Weg.' After a long tenure as a minister, he was recently appointed as the Minister President of Lower Saxony, a position he had been regarded as a 'crown prince' for 13 years.
