Oldo Hlaváček

Oldo Hlaváček was a celebrated Slovak actor, entertainer, screenwriter, musician, and television host, known for his significant contributions to Slovak theater and television. Born on January 26, 1934, in Bratislava, he began his acting career in school plays and gained prominence as a member of the Slovak National Theatre in 1963. He became a household name in the 1970s through the television show 'Vtipnejší vyhráva,' where he showcased his comedic talent. Hlaváček's extensive body of work includes performances in numerous theatrical productions, films, and popular television programs, where he was recognized for his sense of humor and ability to engage audiences. He received the Order of the President of Slovakia for his contributions to the arts and continued to perform until his retirement in 2019. Hlaváček passed away at the age of 91 after a prolonged illness.
