Olena Nikitčenko

Olena Nikitčenko is the newly appointed Ukrainian ambassador to Lithuania, having previously served as an advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the President's Office. With a degree in international law from Kyiv University, she began her career at the United Nations and has worked on issues of gender equality. Her appointment has sparked some controversy within the Ukrainian diplomatic community due to perceptions about her experience, but she asserts that her background and connections, including with First Lady Olena Zelenska, support her new role.
