Olev Roost
Olev Roost was a former Estonian Defense Forces soldier who served in the Scout Battalion from 2010 to 2017. During his service, he participated in foreign operations in Afghanistan in 2011 and 2013. Tragically, he lost his life while fighting on the front lines in Ukraine at the end of August 2023, and his remains were returned to Estonia, drawing attention to the sacrifices of those fighting in the ongoing conflict.
