Olga Cardoso

Olga Cardoso, known affectionately as 'amiga Olga', was a celebrated Portuguese radio host who passed away at the age of 91. She had a remarkable career that began in 1949, lending her voice to radio dramas and later becoming a prominent figure at Rádio Renascença, particularly known for her long-running morning show, Despertar. Throughout her career, she became a beloved presence in the lives of many listeners, recognized for her vibrant personality and unique laughter. Cardoso also made appearances on television, including hosting the show A Amiga Olga. In her later years, she battled Parkinson's disease, which she publicly disclosed in 2022.
