Olga Smirnova is a former associate professor at the Department of Anatomy at the St. Petersburg Pediatric Medical University, convicted of corruption and bribery. In November 2022, she was sentenced for accepting bribes from students in exchange for passing grades, which included receiving 15,000 rubles from a student through an intermediary. Following her conviction, she was fined and prohibited from teaching for 3.5 years.
