Olimjon Djurayev

Olimjon Djurayev is an Uzbek politician who was recently appointed as the acting hokim (head) of the Guliston district in the Sirdaryo region. Born in 1982 in Guliston, he graduated from Guliston State University in 2004 with a degree in economics. Prior to his appointment, he served as the first deputy hokim responsible for finance, economics, and poverty reduction. His recent appointment comes amid discussions about the need for improved local governance and economic development in the region.
