Olin Johnston

Olin Johnston served as the Governor of South Carolina from 1935 to 1939 and again from 1943 to 1945. He was in office during the time of George Stinney Jr.'s execution and faced criticism for his refusal to intervene in Stinney's case despite widespread calls for justice and appeals from civil rights organizations.
