Omalpe Sobitha Thera

Omalpe Sobitha Thera is a Buddhist monk and social activist in Sri Lanka, recognized for his vocal advocacy against the inhumane treatment of animals, including elephants, and for promoting compassion and ethical treatment in the aftermath of the Panamure Elephant Kraal incident.
