Omri Michaeli

Omri Michaeli was a soldier in the elite Duvdevan unit of the Israel Defense Forces. He became a symbol of heroism after being seriously injured during the 2014 Gaza War, specifically in Operation Protective Edge, where his image wrapped in an Israeli flag was featured on the cover of a prominent newspaper. Tragically, he lost his life on October 7, 2023, during a conflict in Gaza. In his memory, an organization has been established to support widows with children, highlighting his legacy of care and commitment to community.
