Önder Özen

Önder Özen was a Turkish soldier who tragically lost his life while serving in the Pençe (Hakurk) Operation in northern Iraq. He sustained injuries from an explosive device during a search and clearance operation and, despite all medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries on May 3. His sacrifice is a poignant reminder of the dangers faced by military personnel in active conflict zones.
