Orhan Ayan

Orhan Ayan is a convicted murderer who gained notoriety for escaping from prison in 2017 after serving time for the murder of taxi driver Serkan Şaylanlı in 2007. Ayan managed to evade capture for years by using a false identity, which he created by renewing a friend’s identification card with his own photo. He was ultimately apprehended in Mersin while attempting to dispose of trash near his hiding place after a prolonged search by the police.
