Orison Pérez is a Dominican musician and bandleader known for his work with the Orquesta Voltaje during the peak of the merengue boom in the 1980s. His collaboration with other artists in the genre, particularly under the label Algar Records, helped to spread the popularity of merengue music beyond the Caribbean and into international markets.
