Óscar Beita

Óscar Beita is an experienced park ranger with over seven years of service in Costa Rica's national parks. He works diligently to protect the rich biodiversity of the Corcovado National Park, facing numerous challenges including the presence of drug trafficking and inadequate resources. Despite the hardships, such as lack of potable water and insufficient communication equipment, Beita remains committed to his role, often returning from patrols exhausted yet determined to safeguard the natural environment.
