Óscar Medelius Rodríguez

Óscar Medelius Rodríguez is a former Peruvian congressman and public notary known for his controversial political career, which included ties to the infamous Vladimiro Montesinos and involvement in electoral fraud. He was convicted in 2008 for receiving bribes to facilitate the falsification of signatures for the re-election of Alberto Fujimori and later fled to the United States. After his extradition, he was sentenced to eight years in prison and became a figure of interest again in 2018 when he was linked to a meeting at the Palace of Government with current political figures.
