Oswald Harding

Oswald Harding was a distinguished Jamaican legal mind and public servant, renowned for his extensive contributions to the country's democratic and constitutional development. Born in Kingston in 1935, he made history as Jamaica's longest-serving senator, holding the position of Senate President from 1980 to 1984 and again from 2007 to 2011. He was also a former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, playing a pivotal role in strengthening Jamaica's legal institutions. Harding was deeply involved in academia, notably assisting in establishing the law faculty at the University of Technology (UTech), Jamaica.
