Othman El Ballouti
Othman El Ballouti, known as the 'Barón' or 'Rey de la Cocaína', is a notorious Belgian-Moroccan drug trafficker who led a significant criminal organization involved in the smuggling and distribution of cocaine across Europe. His criminal career began at a young age in the port of Antwerp, where he initially worked extracting cocaine from containers. In recent years, he was linked to massive drug shipments, including a 10,964-kilogram cocaine haul intercepted in Belgium. In July 2023, he was sanctioned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury for his role in international drug trafficking and money laundering operations. El Ballouti was captured in December 2024 in Dubai, following years of evading authorities.
