Otuekong Isong

Otuekong Isong is the director of the Center for Human Rights and Accountability Network in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He has recently been in the news advocating for the establishment of State Police as a necessary measure to address the increasing insecurity and crime rates in the country. In a television interview, he emphasized the inadequacy of the current security architecture and proposed that a well-structured state police system could enhance crime prevention and protect citizens' welfare.
