Ovidiu Ţentea

Ovidiu Ţentea is a prominent Romanian archaeologist and researcher, appointed as the interim director of the National Museum of Romanian History (MNIR) following the dismissal of Ernest Oberlander-Târnoveanu amid controversies regarding the theft of valuable artifacts. Born on June 4, 1974, in Dumbrăveni, Sibiu County, Ţentea has over 25 years of experience in research, museography, and cultural heritage management. He holds a PhD in Ancient History and Archaeology and has been involved in significant archaeological projects, contributing to the understanding and promotion of Romania's historical heritage.
