Owen James was a renowned Jamaican journalist and media practitioner who played a pivotal role in the development of business journalism in Jamaica. With a career spanning over 50 years, he was instrumental in creating influential television programs such as 'The Business Day' and 'The Business Review.' His contributions to journalism began at The Gleaner Company, where he served as editor of the STAR newspaper, and later at the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation and Television Jamaica. James is remembered for his exceptional leadership and vision, as well as his commitment to mentoring a new generation of journalists.
