Pablo Villalobos González

Pablo Villalobos González has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Central Bank of Costa Rica (BCCR), succeeding Hazel Valverde Richmond. He has dedicated 35 years to the institution, holding various supervisory roles, and has previously acted as interim manager. Villalobos holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Costa Rica and has enhanced his expertise through specialized training at institutions such as the International Monetary Fund and the Bank of Spain. Additionally, he is a professor at the National University of Costa Rica, where he has taught for 18 years.
