Paco Dominguez
Paco Dominguez, a remarkable 97-year-old swimmer from Spain, began his swimming journey at the age of 70 and has since broken multiple records in the 100, 200, and 400 meters freestyle for his age category. Born in Vigo in 1927, he emigrated to Venezuela in 1957 where he learned the basics of swimming. Despite facing a 65% disability, Dominguez attributes his longevity and well-being to a positive mindset and a life dedicated to swimming, training daily and participating in competitions. He is a member of the Master Swimming Club in Madrid and has a philosophy of living life positively, inspired by a transformative trip to India. He aims to continue swimming as long as his body allows, drawing inspiration from renowned athlete Rafael Nadal.
