Pál Szinyei Merse was a notable Hungarian painter of the 19th century, recognized for his contributions to the development of Hungarian Impressionism. His work 'Kupališna kućica' is particularly celebrated and has recently gained attention by being displayed outside Hungary for the first time at the 'Ideal and Reality' exhibition in Zagreb.
