Pamela Allen

Pamela Allen is a renowned children's author and illustrator, celebrated for her engaging and interactive storytelling style that captivates young audiences. Originally from New Zealand, she began her writing career in her 40s after moving to Australia. Her first book, 'Mr. McGee and the Blackberry Jam,' published in 1993, showcases her unique ability to connect with children through sound and imagery, making her work beloved by families. Allen's contributions to children's literature are currently highlighted in 'The Curious World of Pamela Allen' exhibition at the NSW State Library, which runs until 2027.
