
Pan Duo
Pan Duo, also known as Phanthog, was a Chinese mountaineer who served as the deputy leader of the first all-female Chinese Everest expedition in 1975. Despite facing significant challenges and the tragic loss of a teammate, she was determined to reach the summit and made history by being the first woman to reach the peak from the northern side of Everest, accomplishing her ascent shortly after Junko Tabei.
