
Pan Yunhe
Pan Yunhe is a prominent Chinese computer scientist, educator, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, renowned for his pioneering work in artificial intelligence and computer graphics. Born in November 1946 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, he began his academic journey in the arts and architecture before shifting to computer science at Zhejiang University, where he became one of the first graduate students specializing in artificial intelligence in China. Over nearly five decades, Pan has made significant contributions to the field, fostering innovation and nurturing generations of students in the realm of AI. He is especially noted for his dedication to integrating love and responsibility into education, emphasizing the importance of patriotism among his students and continuously advocating for the development of China's AI capabilities. In 2021, he established the Pan Yunhe Artificial Intelligence Education Fund to promote talent cultivation in this critical field.
