Paraskeyi (Evi) Nomikou is a distinguished Greek volcanologist and professor of Geological Oceanography at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She specializes in the morphology of submarine volcanoes and has extensive experience in marine volcanic phenomena. Recently, she was awarded the prestigious Fischer Medal by the International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth's Interior (IAVCEI), marking a significant achievement for both her and the Greek scientific community.
