Parentini

Parentini is a notorious figure within the criminal underworld of Uruguay, known for his leadership role in the barra brava (hooligan group) of Peñarol. With a criminal record that includes serious offenses such as homicide, drug trafficking, extortion, and robbery, he has been incarcerated multiple times since the age of 19. Recently, he drew attention to the deplorable conditions of his imprisonment, claiming that there are more rats than inmates and emphasizing the lack of rehabilitation opportunities. In February 2024, he filed a Habeas Corpus petition with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, seeking improved treatment and the recognition of his rights while serving his sentence.
