Patricia Duque Cruz

Patricia Duque Cruz has been appointed as the new Minister of Sport in the government of President Gustavo Petro. A graduate in business administration from the Universidad Católica de Colombia, Duque holds two specializations in public management and high management. With extensive experience in various government entities, including the Contraloría de Bogotá and the Ministry of Labor, she has held significant positions such as local ombudsperson and superintendent in the Superintendence of Public Utilities. Her appointment follows the resignation of Luz Cristina López, and Duque's background in public service positions her to influence the development of sports in Colombia.
