Patricia Hansard, aged 87, is a loving wife who witnessed a horrific assault on her husband, Joseph, while they were waiting for medical care at Tallaght University Hospital. Following the attack, which left her husband with severe injuries and cognitive decline, Patricia's own health deteriorated, leading to a rapid progression of her Parkinson’s disease into dementia. The tragic events have profoundly impacted their lives, forcing them into full-time nursing care after years of marriage.
