Patricio Arévalo

Patricio Arévalo is an Ecuadorian mountaineer and a distinguished officer of the National Police of Ecuador. He recently made headlines by becoming the first climber of the spring 2025 season to reach the summit of Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen, marking a significant achievement in high-altitude climbing. Originating from Guaranda, Arévalo is a member of the Intervention and Rescue Group (GIR) and has previously conquered notable peaks such as Aconcagua, Kilimanjaro, Denali, and Elbrus. His remarkable physical and mental resilience has been recognized by the National Police, highlighting his professionalism and bravery in numerous high-altitude rescue operations.
