Patrick Brunty

Patrick Brunty, originally from Drumballyroney, Co Down, was the father of the renowned Brontë sisters, Emily, Charlotte, and Anne. He was a first-generation Irish migrant to Britain and changed his surname to Brontë to adopt a more exotic identity.
